Cellared and Bottled by Peter's Cellars 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon
United States, Washington, Walla Walla Valley

I had this wine at a swanky happy hour place one night and was very impressed with how smooth it is. It has also proven quite versatile with food pairings as I have enjoyed the wine with veggie tacos, a veggie burrito, pot stickers, and seasoned green beans. This makes my favorites list of everyday wines on the cheap
Lopez Island Vineyards 2007 Malbec
United States, Washington, Yakima Valley

I highly recommend this red on its own. This occurs after I have had plenty of other wine so I will revisit this review on my next tasting of this particular wine
Columbia Winery 2005 Riesling

I enjoyed this wine, I typically don't enjoy dessert wines but would recommend this one to people who like things super sweet. It was good as a dessert wine to enjoy with good company
Royal Tokaji 2006 Furmint

This wine paired well with the seafood main dish, I would try it again with seafood if nothing else were available. I think it would have made a better pairing if the dinner was more spicy
Olsen Estates 2008 Blanc des Coteaux
United States, Washington, Yakima Valley

Not impressed with the pairing. I didn't like this wine enough to try it with a different food pairing but I did like it enough at the initial tasting to believe it would pair well with halibut and greens. Were I to have it again I would go with steamed asparagus and a halibut slightly seasoned instead of a show-stopper halibut

This is the perfect wine for spicy food, it is a better remedy than milk for coating the tongue after a spicy bite. I am a little bit of a spice wimp so the spiciness I speak of is probably the equivalent of a 2-3 out of 5 star scale which is pretty spicy for me.
