I'm not new to drinking wine, but I've decided to learn more about it and try and find a way to keep track of what I like and what I don't. (My little sister's quite good at it -- it's a competition thing, I guess.) [Disclaimer: this means I'm a novice at reviewing.]

Michael and David Phillips 2006 Zinfandel
United States, California
I'm new to Zinfandels, and this seemed somewhat acidic -- not the smooth red I had anticipated, but I don't know if it's the wine or me.
Jekel Vineyards 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon
United States, California, Central Coast/Monterey
Only okay. A bit of an aftertaste that surprised me.
Tapena 2006 Tempranillo
Spain
Tempranillos are new to my wine repertoire, but my sister likes them (I think), so I figured I'd try it. This is a nice red with a good body, and reasonably priced.
Little Black Dress 2006 Pinot Noir
United States, California, Mendocino County
I find Pinot Noirs an interesting experience. I tend to either really like them, or strongly dislike them. This one has a nice body, not too light or thin, and is very enjoyable.
Lolonis Winery NV
United States, California, Redwood Valley
Okay drinking experience. Heavier than I expected, and for the price, I'd say this is only okay. I wouldn't not drink it again, but for the price am not sure I'd seek it out.
Cascata Winery 2006 Chardonnay
United States, New York, Finger Lakes
I'm not usually a drinker of white wines, but love a good oak chardonnay, and this fits the bill nicely, and as a local wine, it's an added bonus.
