Screw cap attitude | July 5, 12:50 pm "While I was shopping for Italian white wines to highlight in this month's Wine Focus in our WineLovers Discussion Group, a funny thought crossed my mind: Nowadays, I generally prefer to see a screw cap on most bottles of wine. I've come across about 2-3 "corked" bottles in the last 18 months or so and 2 bad "twist" caps, though one was on a brandy of some sort. Are twist caps good? Sure. But so are corks, which I understand, have gotten even better in quality in the last couple of years. July 5, 10:43 pm |
