·          What does the logabottle page do?

·          How do I log a bottle?

·          My grape/region/sub-region/country/color is not listed in the drop down box. How do I enter a different one?

 

 

·          What does the logabottle page do?

o         This tab allows you to log a bottle of wine

·          How do I log a bottle?

o         Click on the “logabottle” button in the header row of buttons

o         The first field, Date Logged, is automatically filled with the current day’s date

o         The next 4 fields below that (Color, Country, Vineyard, and Wine Year) are required to be filled in to save a bottle log.

o         Click on the “Detailed Information”, “Purchase & Storage”, and “Drinking Experience” tabs to expand those sections and enter additional information about the wine

o         The “Final Thoughts” section will already be expanded and is where you enter your subjective opinion of the wine

o         You can hover over each field name to get a description of the field and instructions on how to fill it out

o         Click the “Submit” icon at the bottom of the page when you are finished. You will then be transferred to the “My Bottle Log” page, where you can view, edit and delete this bottle and all others you have logged.

·          How do I edit a bottle I have logged?

o         Click on the “My Bottle Log” button in the header row of buttons

o         Find the row that contains the bottle you wish to edit

§          Note that if the bottle is not on the first page, you can scroll to the bottom of the page, where it says “Go to page” and either click “Next” or a specific page number to go to

o         Click on the at the end of this row to expand the details of this bottle in the column on the right side of the page

o         At the top of the details section, click on the link that reads “Edit this bottle”

o         Edit the fields you wish to modify, and click the “Submit” icon at the bottom of the page to save the changes

·          How do I delete a bottle I have logged?

o         Click on the “My Bottle Log” button in the header row of buttons

o         Find the row that contains the bottle you wish to edit

§          Note that if the bottle is not on the first page, you can scroll to the bottom of the page, where it says “Go to page” and either click “Next” or a specific page number to go to

o         Click on the at the end of this row to expand the details of this bottle in the column on the right side of the page

o         At the top of this details section, click on the link that reads “Edit this bottle”

o         Once the bottle log comes up, click on the link at the top of the fields that reads “Delete this bottle.” THIS ALONE WILL NOT DELETE THE BOTTLE

o         The page will reload and a new line of text will replace the “Delete this bottle” link that reads: “Are you sure? This cannot be undone.”

§          If you are certain you want to delete the bottle, click Yes.

§          If not, click No, and you will be returned to your My Bottle Log page.

·          My grape/region/sub-region/country/color is not listed in the drop down box. How do I enter a different one?

o         If the information you wish to enter is not available in the drop down box we provide, then simply click on the link that reads “Enter Your Own, ” located to the right of the field, and you can manually enter your own text into the field.

o         This is especially useful if the wine is made from multiple grapes, so you can enter them all

o         If you want to return to the drop down list, click the “Pick from a list” link to the right of the field (replaced “Enter Your Own” when you clicked on it)
