   Parmesan, asiago, romano, fontinella cheeses conspired to completely obscure any flavors this wine might have had. Interestingly, the label says it has flavors of "blackberries, plums, and ripe black berries (sic)." I fear we didn't even find single blackberry flavors, much less doubled.

   The cumin and chili flavored soup is pretty hardy, and a cab usually goes well. This wine seemed young, and not up to the job. Ca. 2006, Carmen and I first tried this wine (of now forgotten vintage) at the excellent restaurant at Shelton Vineyards, and were very impressed. This offering wasn't anywhere near as interesting, I fear.

   his crisp summer sipper is a pale straw color with forward peach, apricot aroma and clove undertones. Muscat adds Chrysler rose petal notes and a tinge of jasmine which is from the Viognier. The palate is crisp due to the bright acidity from Clarksburg Chenin Blanc, with Sauvignon Blanc lending a dry and herbaceous quality. The finish on this wine is a symphony of all the best qualities of each varietal and is summarized by a fleshy blood orange essence. Nectary without being cloying, dry with orange oil and slightly textured with orange skin, this wine follows through with a ripe finish while maintaining a natural fruity grit.
